I really should change the name of my blog to Adventures in South East Asia. I want to travel to other places and I always say my next trip will be somewhere else but I just love it here so much. And so, having said that, let the adventures in Thailand begin once more...

Hello Hello. It's the 31st of August and I've got 31 days 16 hours and 38 minutes left until my plane takes off. Too damn long if you ask me. I've got my backpack mostly packed and ready to go. Hopefully the time will go fast. We are still going through a labour dispute at Safeway and the way it looks I may be able to work right up until I leave. I just hope that while I'm gone there isn't a new contract put in place that will cost me my job. We'll see how it goes. I got word from my cousin Danielle that she will for sure be joining us in Thailand now. She gets into Bangkok on the 26th at 1:30pm and I'm hopeing that Corina will get there around the same time so Danielle isn't in Bangkok for too long by herself. Not really too much else to talk about. A couple of months ago though, I bought a digital camera from my brother. I was really excited about bringing it to Thailand but then realize that I would either have to spend a ton of money on memory cards for it or find some kind of portable digital storage device. Well for about a month I looked on the internet and everything I found was way too expensive for what it did. Basically they were portable hard drives with a Compact Flash slot to upload images too. The starting price was about $750 Canadian. Well, I finally looked on E-Bay Canada and found a 20 Gigabyte Storage Device that not only lets me upload my Compact Flash Cards to it but also lets me download all the music from my computer to it and it plays movies on it's little screen. I went looking for a storage device and found a little digital media player that lets me have music and upload my pictures too. It's called a Vosonic V-MP3H Digital Data Player. Pics here: www.vosonic.co.uk/vmp3h.html I out bid everyone else on E-Bay and managed to get it for $275 Canadian. I looked on the net and it still sells for $349 British pounds, thats over $760 dollars Canadian. Anyway, the guy turned out to be in Richmond so I just drove down and got it and saved on taxes and shipping. I just hope everything turns out that good or goes that smoothly. We'll see. Well thats all for now my friends and family. I don't think I'll have much to talk about before I leave but if I do I'll leave a blog, if not then the next Blog will probably be coming from Thailand. Let the adventures begin.
